You then have to configure your cluster.ini to use your LAN IP (192.168.x.x) rather than 127.0.0.1. If you get this wrong, you will be trapped on the surface, infinitely falling through a wormhole that leads to a black loading screen. Unlike the single-player version (Don't Starve), DST requires a constant connection to Klei Entertainment’s servers. A standard "crack" would leave the game playable but offline (essentially useless for DST). If you can play on the surface but cannot enter the caves, you are experiencing a Port Forwarding or Firewall issue. DST uses two separate connections: one for the surface (Default) and one for the Caves Shard.
