If you use Content Manager (and if you don't, please pause and go install it), you have access to the "Number Plate App" within the Custom Showroom.
Here is the killer feature: Dynamic numbering.
You no longer need to make 50 different skins for a race series. You can set a "Plate Template." The modder creates a blank plate. CM then injects the number you type into the UI directly onto the 3D model in real-time.
This means:
Every 3D car model has a "UV map"—a 2D blueprint of how textures wrap around the 3D mesh. Some mod cars have a dedicated, isolated section of the UV map just for the number plate. Others map the plate texture to a specific area of the paint body texture (body.dds).
Cause: The UV map for that mod is flipped. Solution: Flip your canvas horizontally before exporting. Some modders from certain communities map plates "backwards" by mistake. Test with a text that says "TEST" to see the orientation.
The Assetto Corsa community thrives on sharing. Once you have created a masterpiece, upload it.
