Zwcad Change Language — Trending

This method works if you installed a multi-language version.

  • Select your preferred language from the list.
  • Click OK.
  • Restart ZWCAD for the change to take effect.
  • For most versions of ZWCAD (2020 and newer), the language setting is built directly into the user interface.

    Older ZWCAD versions (pre-2020) include a dedicated tool: zwcad change language

    If you use custom LISP routines or scripts, changing the language of the interface usually does not affect them, as LISP routines rely on command names, not interface labels. However, if your scripts rely on specific menu labels or diesel expressions, they may need adjustment.

    Solution: This is often a graphics or profile conflict. Reset ZWCAD to defaults: This method works if you installed a multi-language version

  • Select your desired language.
  • Click ‘Apply’ then ‘OK’.
  • A warning popup will appear: “The language change will take effect after restarting ZWCAD.” Click OK.
  • Close ZWCAD completely and relaunch it.
  • Success Indicator: The splash screen, ribbon, menus, and command line will now be in your chosen language.

    Note for Older Versions (ZWCAD 2019 and below): The ‘Options’ menu may not have a live language switcher. In that case, you need to download and install a language pack separately (see Method 3). Select your preferred language from the list
