Use a hex editor to patch updater.exe yourself (NOP the CRC jump). This is advanced but cleaner than trusting a pre-patched binary.

Router is bricked (no LEDs, no ping)
→ You need a USB-to-TTL serial adapter (3.3V). Solder to J2 header (RX/TX/GND) and interrupt CFE boot to flash via TFTP.
