A Critical Warning: There is no single "Zlink APK" that works on every device. The APK must match both your head unit’s processor (RK3188, PX5, PX6, UIS7862) and your phone’s Android version.
If you are using Android 9 on your phone to connect to an Android head unit, look for the following APK versions:

Step 2: Download the Correct APK
Use a trusted source. Because Zlink is proprietary, many downloads contain malware. Ideally, extract the APK from the firmware of your specific radio manufacturer. Save the Zlink_xx.apk to a USB drive.

Step 4: Configure the App Open Zlink on your head unit. You will see a grey screen with icons for CarPlay, Android Auto, and MirrorLink.
Step 5: Connect your Android 9 Phone
Step 6: Launch Android Auto On your Android 9 phone, open the Android Auto app (if not auto-launching). The head unit screen should immediately switch to the Android Auto dashboard.
Cause: The head unit does not recognize the Android 9 handshake. Fix: Go to your Android 9 phone’s Developer Options → Default USB Configuration → Change from "Charging" to "File Transfer (MTP)" or "Android Auto."
