Editing the Configuration File

If the Language Tool is missing, you can manually edit an INI file.

Note: Language codes are not standardized here; trial and error or NCH support may be needed. wavepad change language top

Solution: Run WavePad as Administrator (Windows) once to allow the settings file to be written correctly. On macOS, check read/write permissions in ~/Library/Preferences.

  • Save the file and restart WavePad.

    • Warning: Incorrect changes may cause WavePad to crash. Back up the original .ini file before editing.
