Teyes Developer Password [ DIRECT — 2025 ]
If none of those work, one of three things has happened:
Once the password is accepted, go back to the main Settings menu. You will now see a new menu near the bottom called "Developer Options" (just above "System").
Congratulations. You are now in the Teyes engineering layer.
While 1234 works for 95% of users, some edge cases exist. Try this troubleshooting flowchart: teyes developer password
| Issue | Solution |
| :--- | :--- |
| 1234 fails | Reboot the unit. Hold power button for 10 seconds. Try again. |
| 0000 fails | Update your firmware. Old bugs sometimes corrupt the password prompt. |
| Keyboard won't appear | Use a USB mouse. Some Teyes screens have digitizer issues in system menus. |
| "Developer Options" still hidden | You missed a tap. Go back to "Build Number" and tap 15 times slowly. |
| Custom reseller ROM | Contact your seller. Some Chinese resellers use 8888 or 112233. |
If none of the above works, you can access the Factory Settings (password 8888 or 000000) and perform a "Factory Data Reset." This will restore the default Android behavior, including the standard 1234 developer password.
Teyes units are powerful, but the default Android animations can feel slow. Inside Developer Options, find these three settings and change them: If none of those work, one of three
Result: Your Teyes will feel instantly snappier.
Do not confuse these two. Here is a quick comparison table:
| Feature | Developer Options | Factory Settings |
| :--- | :--- | :--- |
| Password | 1234 (mostly) | 8888, 000000, or 123456 |
| How to access | Tap "Build Number" 7x | Enter code in "Car Settings" > "Factory" |
| What it controls | Android system behavior (animations, USB debug, background limits) | CAN bus, reverse camera type, steering wheel, amplifier EQ |
| Risk level | Medium (easily reversible) | High (can break car integration) | While 1234 works for 95% of users, some edge cases exist
Golden Rule: Use the Developer Password for performance tweaks. Use the Factory Password only for hardware configuration (e.g., changing from a VW to a BMW CAN bus).
If you want to use ADB (Android Debug Bridge) to install apps from your PC, disable animations, or run shell commands, you must toggle "USB Debugging" on. This is hidden behind the developer password.
For a smoother UI experience, toggle on "Force GPU rendering". This offloads 2D drawing to the GPU, making menus and maps feel more fluid.
