The Process: While idling on the pace laps, the driver toggles a valve that routes hot engine coolant (200°F) into the front calipers. The Build: A driver-controlled hydraulic ram that raises a 3-inch aluminum wicker bill on the rear spoiler. But here’s the twist: it’s only active via a steering angle sensor.
How it works: Under straight-line speed, the wicker lays flat (low drag, 180 mph). When the driver turns the wheel past 15 degrees, a solenoid dumps hydraulic pressure, popping the wicker upright instantly. This shifts the center of pressure backward, planting the rear tires for corner entry. It’s mechanical, instantaneous, and completely illegal in 99% of sanctioned racing—which is why it’s the ultimate "garage only" extreme mod.
