Downloading save data is not piracy. Save files contain no copyrighted game code, textures, or music – they are simply text-based progress markers. You still need your own legal Resident Evil 4 PS2 ISO or disc to use the save. AetherSX2 itself does not include any games.

That said, always scan downloaded .ps2 files with an antivirus before copying to your phone. Malware disguised as save data is rare but possible.

AetherSX2 is a high-performance PS2 emulator for Android devices. Unlike PC emulators (PCSX2), AetherSX2 stores memory cards in a specific folder on your phone’s internal storage.
