Rkdevtool No Devices Found

This is the #1 cause. Windows often tags Rockchip devices as “Unknown USB Device” or misses the driver entirely.

Fix it:

💡 On Windows 10/11, you may need to disable driver signature enforcement temporarily: Shift + Restart → Troubleshoot → Startup Settings → Disable driver signature enforcement rkdevtool no devices found

A surprising number of "No Devices Found" errors are physical, not software.

Some cheap “Rockchip” boards use cloned or mismarked chips. Their USB PID/VID might not match Rockchip’s standard values. In that case, you must manually edit rkdevtool.ini or compile rkdeveloptool with custom VID/PID. This is the #1 cause

Windows doesn’t automatically recognize Rockchip’s USB vendor ID (0x2207). You must manually install libusb or Rockchip Driver Assistant. Even then, Windows may swap drivers after updates.
Fix: Use Zadig to force the WinUSB or libusb driver for the device when it appears in MaskROM mode.
