The depth buffer allows Reshade to understand "what is near and far" in a 3D space. In version 4.9.1, the developers fixed inverted depth buffers on several Vulkan titles. This means MXAO and Ray Tracing shaders now work correctly without looking like the shadows are floating in the wrong direction.
