Place the printer on a stable, non-flammable surface. Remove all foam and zip ties inside the build chamber. Ensure the print bed moves freely.
The physical box includes a printed manual, but digital versions get updated. As of this writing, Manual Version 2.2 (released June 2024) includes: qidi x-pro manual

Warning against third-party manuals: Many aggregator sites host outdated "QIDI X-Pro manual" files from 2019. These show the old rotary knob interface, not your touchscreen. Always verify the publication date. Prohibited actions from the manual:

Bed Leveling Procedure:
"Before printing, you must level the build plate to ensure the nozzle is at the correct height.
Z-Offset Adjustment (Software Leveling): Place the printer on a stable, non-flammable surface
"The QIDI X-Pro utilizes a sensor for automatic leveling compensation. However, you must set the Z-Offset.
If settings get corrupted, the manual doesn't mention this: Create a G-code file with M502 (factory reset) and M500 (save). Run it via SD card.
