Part 1 opens with a long shot of a village fair. The lead, Bhola (Vijay Shukla), sells bangles for a living. He is peaceful, almost cowardly. His wife, Guddo (Aashima Kaur), is harassed by the Pradhan’s son. When Bhola complains, he is publicly humiliated and his stall is burned.
Driven to despair, Bhola visits a local Numbari named Fauji – a one-armed gangster who lives in an abandoned fort. Fauji refuses to help, but after seeing Bhola’s determination, hands him a country-made pistol. The episode ends with Bhola walking toward the Pradhan’s mansion, his eyes changed forever.
