She knows his darkest secret: years ago, he abandoned his pregnant girlfriend to pursue his career. Dewi offers him “forgiveness” if he stays in the village forever.

As more men fall into coma, Arya discovers the curse’s origin: 100 years ago, a shaman’s daughter was betrayed by her aristocratic lover. Drowned in the village well, she cursed that any man who breaks a woman’s heart would be drained of his soul by her descendants—the siluman perempuan.

Act III – The Confrontation
Ratih reveals she is a dukun (shaman) in training. She teaches Arya that the demon cannot be killed with physical weapons—only by confronting the guilt she mirrors. In a climactic ritual, Arya must enter the demon’s dream-realm, confess his past sins publicly, and sever his emotional tie to her. Dewi transforms into his ex-lover’s face, trying to pull him into a watery grave. Arya finally forgives himself, breaking the curse. Dewi dissolves into lotus petals. The village awakens. Arya stays to build a clinic, finally at peace.
