Even a perfect mod can have issues. Here is the fix list for the most common complaints after downloading Rework 3.0.
Problem: "The game crashes when I enter the garage."

Step 1: Clean Installation
Start with a fresh copy of NFS Most Wanted. Delete your old Game folder to avoid conflicts. Ensure you have the speed.exe (v1.3) file.
Step 2: Extract the Mod
Right-click the Rework_3.0_Full.7z file and extract it to a temporary folder (like your Desktop). Do not extract directly into the game folder yet. Even a perfect mod can have issues
Step 3: Run the Installer
Inside the extracted folder, look for Rework_3.0_Installer.exe. Right-click and select "Run as Administrator."
Step 4: The Widescreen Fix
Rework 3.0 ships with NFSMW_FixByThirteenAG. After the main mod installs, a secondary window will open. Select your monitor's resolution (e.g., 1920x1080 or 2560x1440). Enable "DirectX Wrapper" for better FPS.
Step 5: Optional - High Poly Cars Addon After the base 3.0 install, the team offers an "Ultra" pack (another 2GB) that replaces traffic cars with high-poly models. Note: This may cause stutter on lower-end PCs. Problem: "The road textures are flickering black
Step 6: Launch
Run speed.exe as administrator. The first launch will take 30-60 seconds to build shader caches. Do not alt-tab.

The hero car has been rebuilt from scratch. The livery is now perfectly aligned on a model that has 3x the polygons of the original. The exhaust now glows orange during prolonged high RPMs, and the hood vents are fully 3D, not just a texture.
