Step 1: Download the Codec
Click the official link above on your Android device. Save the neon_1.13.0.apk file to your Downloads folder.
Step 2: Install the Codec (Do not open it yet) Open your file manager, tap the APK, and tap “Install.” Once installed, tap “Done” – do not press “Open.”
Step 3: Configure MX Player
Step 4: Verification Play a video with AC3 audio (e.g., a standard movie MKV). While playing, swipe down the notification bar. If you see “HW+” or “HW” and hear audio, the codec works.
"The codec is not compatible" error: If you see this error, you may have downloaded the wrong version. If you are using a newer version of MX Player (like 1.23.x or higher), the 1.13.0 codec will not work.
