This is the only official method.

Before programming, you must identify which hardware version of the CP1300 you own. The radio is physically limited to these frequency ranges. Attempting to program frequencies outside these ranges will result in an error.

A: The CP1300 supports up to 128 channels. However, if you have a 4-channel or 16-channel front panel model, the hardware rotary dial limits intuitive selection. You can still store 128, but you need to use channel up/down buttons.

| Channel # | Frequency (MHz) | Typical Use | | :--- | :--- | :--- | | 1 | 151.625 | Business (Red Dot) | | 2 | 151.925 | Business (Blue Dot) | | 3 | 154.570 | MURS (Low Power, No License needed in US) | | 4 | 154.600 | MURS (Low Power, No License needed in US) | | 5 | 151.820 | MURS (Narrowband) | | 6 | 158.400 | Agriculture/Farming | | 7 | 159.480 | Forestry/Conservation | | 8 | 153.350 | Transportation | | 9 | 160.200 | Manufacturing | | 10 | 173.225 | Utility/Public Works |

Disclaimer: These lists are examples. Your specific CP1300 may have different frequencies based on the original owner's license. Do not assume these are legal to use.

The UHF variant (CP1300 UHF) is preferred for urban environments, in-building penetration, and shorter-range commercial use where obstacles like concrete and steel are common.

Critical UHF Note: The CP1300 is not Part 95 certified for GMRS in the U.S. Using it on GMRS frequencies (462.550–462.725 MHz) requires a valid GMRS license and careful programming to avoid exceeding power limits (5W on GMRS, while CP1300 outputs 4–5W). On business UHF (451–470 MHz), a commercial FCC license is required.

Using your organization's license (or legal unlicensed frequencies in your region), type the frequencies into the grid.
