Unlike the Play Store, modded apps do not update automatically. You must manually re-download a new mod file every time the original app changes its server-side logic.

When you go to install the mod, read the permissions. Does a simple flashlight app need access to your contacts? Does a game need permission to make phone calls? If yes, do not install it.
