Before we discuss repair or maintenance, we must define the term. In industrial design, the "Key Top" refers to the physical button mechanism on the exterior of the MagicPods charging case. Unlike generic earbuds where the button is a rubber membrane, the MagicPods Key Top is typically a rigid, precision-molded piece of plastic or metal that actuates the internal micro-switch. Cause: Laptops often require Fn + F8 to actually send an F8 signal (otherwise it adjusts brightness). Solution: Either hold Fn while mapping the Key Top, or change your BIOS/UEFI settings to make F-keys act as standard F-keys. Alternatively, use a combination like Ctrl + Shift + H instead of single F-keys.

Cause: Corrupted configuration file. Solution: Reset the MagicPods app. Go to Settings > Advanced > "Reset all Key Top bindings to default." Reboot your PC and remap.
