Magical Girl - Mystic Lune Save Link
Let’s say a friend sent you a link: save.mysticlune.com/r/STARLIGHT-99F. Here is how to import it:
In a 2024 GDC talk, lead designer Akari Minase revealed why the save system is intentionally obtuse: "We wanted players to feel the weight of transformation. In magical girl stories, you cannot 'save scum' your way out of a broken heart. The 'Lunar Echo' system (the save link) is a diegetic mechanic—in-universe, Mystic Lune is literally capturing an echo of her timeline."
This means that the save link is not just a technical feature; it is a plot device. Using a save link allows you to "jump dimensions," but the game remembers how many times you have done this. Use too many external save links, and the final boss (The Star Eater) will break the fourth wall and call you out for "thread hopping."
Your protagonist is Hoshino Lune, a second-year middle schooler who inherits the Mystic Rod from a dying fairy (Poppi).

Day 2:
Day 3:
Pro tip: Save before every boss. The game has sudden difficulty spikes.
After beating the game once, you unlock: magical girl mystic lune save link
There is also a hidden 4th NPC (transfer student “Yuki”) only findable if you patrol on Day 7 evening and choose “Follow the strange light.” Yuki’s Link gives a time-freeze ability but locks you out of Reina’s route.
Lune has three forms, unlocked via total Link Levels:
| Total Link Lv (sum of all NPCs) | Form | Key Ability | |--------------------------------|-------------------|-------------------------------------| | 0–4 | Mystic Lune (base) | Sparkle Slash, Heal Spark | | 5–9 | Shining Lune | Aurora Beam (multi-target) | | 10+ | Eternal Lune | Save Link Burst (damage = total Link Lv × 50) |
Save Link Burst is your only way to beat the mid-game boss Void Princess (2000 HP). To use it, you must have at least 3 NPCs at Link Lv.3 or higher. The move consumes 5 MP and all Link bonuses for that battle (Links recover after battle). Let’s say a friend sent you a link: save
Elemental weaknesses:
Unlike standard magical girl games where you just fight monsters, Save Link tracks your emotional connections with NPCs (classmates, a mentor, a shy rival).
Key rule: You cannot save everyone. The game forces you to choose which Links to prioritize each in-game week.
