At its core, the Looney Tunes and Merrie Melodies HQ Project is a comprehensive preservation and digitization effort. But to call it merely "restoration" would be an understatement. Launched in late 2024 by Warner Bros. Discovery in partnership with the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences, the project has three primary pillars:

The "HQ" in the title is literal: the project is building a dedicated physical headquarters that will serve as the central nervous system for all things Looney Tunes.

One of the project's first completed restorations is the surrealist classic Porky in Wackyland. The original negative had suffered severe water damage. Using Tune-Sync, the team digitally recreated the "Dodo bird" dance sequence by referencing Bob Clampett's original storyboard sketches. The result is a 4K version that looks clearer than the day it premiered.

The Looney Tunes and Merrie Melodies HQ Project is a $75 million multi-phase initiative to reconstruct and modernize the spirit of Termite Terrace. The project is not a simple recreation of the dilapidated original.
