Scene opens on the Bank of Spain, dawn. The gold gleams like liquid fire, but the air is thick with lead and exhaustion.
1. The Fragile Truce Professor sits in the operations room, alone. His glasses are cracked. For the first time, he isn’t calculating; he’s feeling. The army is minutes from breaching the final door. He looks at a photo of Berlin, then at Palermo, who nods from the shadows.
“Then let’s end this like family,” Professor whispers.
2. The Unlikely Soldier Manila, Denver, and Bogotá rig the last explosives. Not to kill—to create a distraction. Rio’s hands shake as he hacks the final security protocol. Lisboa holds a rifle, standing guard over a dying Helsinki, who smiles through the blood.
“I always said… the red suits were ugly,” Helsinki jokes. Lisboa doesn’t laugh. She kisses his forehead.
3. The Heist Within the Heist Sierra, now fully allied, reveals the final move: the gold was melted and recast… but not into bars. The team spent months turning it into microscopic pellets mixed with industrial resin. They’ve been pumping it into the sewer system for days. The gold is already leaving the bank—not through the front door, but through the pipes, into a fleet of modified pump trucks waiting three kilometers away.
“While they’ve been hunting ghosts upstairs, we’ve been bleeding the ghost downstairs,” Sierra says.
4. The Sacrifice That’s when the doors blow.
Tatiana—Berlin’s widow, revealed as the silent investor—appears on the army’s comms, offering a deal: “Give me the Professor, and the rest walk free.” La Casa de Papel 5x10
Palermo looks at Professor. Professor looks at the map of the sewers. Then he takes off his glasses, hands them to Lisboa, and steps forward.
“No,” she says. “It’s the only way,” he replies.
But before he takes a second step, Marseille—the silent driver, the forgotten ghost—shoots the lights. Chaos erupts. In the dark, a single gunshot rings out. When the lights return, Tatiana is on her knees. Standing over her, holding the smoking gun, is Manila.
“You forgot who taught me to shoot,” she says coldly. “Berlin.”
5. The Eternal Escape The army retreats to regroup. The team has six minutes.
They slide into the sewers—Helsinki carried by Denver and Río. The water is warm with liquid gold. They wade through centuries of history and crime, finally emerging into a blinding Madrid sunrise.
A fleet of ice cream trucks (Sierra’s idea) waits, their freezers already humming with bags of gold pellets.
Professor is the last to climb out. He turns back to look at the Bank of Spain—now empty, its legend intact, its vault a tomb of lies. Scene opens on the Bank of Spain, dawn
6. The Final Frame Cut to: One year later. A remote Pacific island.
Palermo teaches local kids how to throw cards. Denver and Stockholm run a beach bar called “Nairobi.” Rio codes in a hammock. Lisbon paints—oils of faces she never wants to forget.
Professor sits under a palm tree, reading a newspaper headline: “Bank of Spain Heist: The Greatest Unsolved Mystery of the 21st Century.”
He smiles.
A little girl runs up to him—his daughter with Raquel. She’s wearing a tiny red jumpsuit.
“Papa, what’s a heist?” she asks.
He picks her up, points to the horizon.
“It’s a family tradition.”
End credits roll to “Bella Ciao” — but this time, whistled by a child.
Fin.
The Setup: The episode picks up immediately after the intense standoff at the hangar. With the army closing in and the team seemingly trapped, the Professor (Sergio) executes the final twist of his plan.
The "Plan Valencia" Twist: The army, led by Sagasta, believes they have cornered the robbers. However, the Professor reveals that the truck they are guarding is not the main escape vehicle. The actual escape route is a tunnel connected to a storm drain system that leads to a hidden location. The "hostages" and the team begin to evacuate rapidly.
The Standoff (Tamayo vs. The Professor): Inspector Alicia Sierra tracks down the Professor. Instead of arresting him immediately, a tense conversation ensues. The Professor offers her a deal: the gold in exchange for their freedom. However, the situation escalates when Colonel Tamayo arrives at the storm drain.
Toki and Manila: Toki is heavily injured from the previous episode's shootout. In a tearful scene, Manila and Denver struggle with the reality that Toki might not make it. They manage to get her onto the escape bus.
The Gambit: The Professor realizes there is no way to negotiate with Tamayo, who is determined to kill them all to hide the government's embarrassment. Sergio decides to surrender himself to Tamayo to buy time for the others.
