Kumbalangi Nights is not an action thriller or a masala potboiler where the plot is the only thing that matters. It is a slow-burn, atmospheric drama about four estranged brothers living in a fishing village.

The original Malayalam version is available on Amazon Prime Video with excellent Hindi subtitles. While it isn't dubbed, reading subtitles preserves the original vocal performances. Fahadh Faasil’s voice modulation in the climax cannot be replicated in a cheap dub.
