The "Free Trial" is a trap. Technically, Grindr does not offer a standing "free trial" for Xtra. Instead, they offer a "Free 7-Day Trial" that is exclusively available to first-time subscribers only if you commit to an auto-renewing subscription (usually the 12-month plan, sometimes the 1-month plan). If you have ever subscribed to Xtra or Unlimited in the past, you will likely not see this option. For Android:
If you have an old account that has been inactive for 6+ months, delete it or log out. For the best chance, use a new email address and phone number. Grindr’s algorithm is more generous to "virgin" users.
