Solid 60 FPS on PC (tested: GTX 1060 / Ryzen 5). No crashes in 8 hours. Loading screens are 2–3 seconds. The patch notably fixed memory leaks from v1.8.5. Ghosts N Demons V1.8.6a
The most controversial aspect of earlier patches was the "grind." To upgrade your lantern, you needed 5,000 Ectoplasm. To get the True Ending, you needed 20,000. V1.8.6a fixes this by introducing Ectoplasm Shards from destructible environments and doubling the drop rate from "Elite Wraiths." You will still grind, but it is no longer a 40-hour slog.
The final boss of the new "Secret Chapter 7" is Lilith Reborn, a demon that was cut from the base game but restored in this patch. She is widely considered the hardest boss in roguelite history. Gone are the static difficulty settings of "Easy,"
The Build: Do not attempt Lilith without at least Ascension Tier 8 gear. You need:
Phase 1 (The Marionette): Lilith summons puppets of previous bosses. In V1.8.6a, these puppets use their Nightmare movesets. Do not use the Crucifix here; save it for the adds. Solid 60 FPS on PC (tested: GTX 1060 / Ryzen 5)
Phase 2 (The True Form): She strips away your Silver Stake. You must deflect three massive skull projectiles back at her using the new Parry Mechanic (Block + Forward). This is frame-perfect; practice in the Phantom Gallery first.
The Reward: Defeating Lilith in V1.8.6a unlocks the Exorcist Crown, which allows you to start future runs with 3 random relics instead of 1.
