The firmware’s power-saving algorithms are overly aggressive, killing background apps (e.g., notification delivery for Gmail, Slack, or even WhatsApp) unless you manually lock them in the recent menu or adjust battery optimization settings. The OPPO R15x is a mid-range device released in late 2018. Its firmware lifecycle began with Android 8.1 and saw two major OS upgrades (Android 9, then Android 10).
