This means the source was a retail Blu-ray disc, not a theater screener or DVD. That’s good: a Blu-ray offers a proper 1080p master (usually from Warner’s 2007 or 2012 transfer). However, a BRRip is re-encoded — heavily compressed from that source. It is not a remux (a direct 1:1 copy). So you get Blu-ray colors and framing, but with compression artifacts.
