Not all exclusive Bollywood romantic storylines end with "Happily Ever After." Some are tragic cautionary tales.

Bollywood’s PR machinery often manufactures romantic storylines around actresses to promote a film. This is a delicate art.

Useful note: Exclusive relationships kill fake PR storylines. An actress like Kareena Kapoor Khan, after marrying Saif Ali Khan, stopped doing any “pairing PR” with other actors. Her romantic roles became purely professional, which ironically made her more credible.

Too much alignment between real exclusive relationships and on-screen romance can backfire. Example: Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor Khan played lovers in multiple films post-marriage (Agent Vinod, Kurbaan). Audiences grew tired of seeing the same couple, and the “romantic storyline” felt like a reality show. Kareena later deliberately chose films with other heroes (Irrfan Khan in Angrezi Medium) to reset expectations.
