Eptar Reinforcement For Archicad 27 -

Select your beam and navigate to Design > Eptar > Reinforcement Wizard.

In ArchiCAD 27, the wizard now shows a real-time 3D preview using the new "Vectorial Hatching" engine. You can rotate the view to verify spacing before clicking "Generate."

Even with a powerful tool, users occasionally hit snags. Here is how to resolve them in AC27: eptar reinforcement for archicad 27

  • Issue: The schedule shows [Shape Code 99] (Unknown).

  • Issue: Performance lag when viewing 500+ rebars. Select your beam and navigate to Design >

  • A critical improvement in AC27 + EPTar is IFC 4.0 Reference View 1.2 support for reinforcement.

Validation: Tested export to Tekla Structures 2024 and Allplan 2025 – shape codes retained. In ArchiCAD 27, the wizard now shows a

    | Issue | Likely Fix | |-------|-------------| | Eptar toolbar missing | Reinstall add-on; check "Extensions → Eptar" | | Rebar not visible | Check layer combination; verify cover > element thickness | | Bending schedule wrong | Update bar settings in Eptar library part | | ArchiCAD 27 crashes | Ensure both Eptar and AC27 are fully updated (hotfixes) |

If you meant something else by "proper story" — like a use-case narrative or step-by-step for a specific element (e.g., a foundation beam through multiple stories) — just let me know and I'll tailor it precisely.

EPTar Reinforcement for ArchiCAD 27 significantly extends the native rebar capabilities, especially for users who require European bending schedules, curved distribution, and direct machine export. While not perfect for every slab pattern, it reduces manual bar placement time by over 60% in complex structures. Firms moving from CAD to BIM for concrete detailing should consider EPTar as an essential companion to ArchiCAD 27.

Archicad 27 has native reinforcement tools (improved from AC26):
