Unlocker — Edius Project Dongle Locker And
For versions EDIUS 6, 7, 8, and 9 (and even some earlier iterations), Grass Valley employed a USB-based hardware dongle as the primary form of copy protection and license authentication. The dongle uses technology from SafeNet (formerly Aladdin’s HASP – Hardware Against Software Piracy). It contains a unique, encrypted signature that the EDIUS software checks at startup.
If the dongle is present and passes validation, EDIUS launches in full-featured mode. If not, the software either fails to start, runs in a limited trial mode, or prompts for a license file. edius project dongle locker and unlocker

Modern EDIUS dongles (Sentinel LDK) have encrypted communication and anti-debugging features. Many “unlockers” are simply repackaged older emulators from EDIUS 6 or 7. When used with EDIUS 8 or 9, they cause memory corruption, leading to: EDIUS includes an official Project Unlocker function

Important: You cannot “unlock” a project locked by someone else’s dongle. The software requires the exact same physical dongle to be present to authorize the unlock.
