    Getting started with the Dropbox PC app takes less than two minutes, but the setup choices you make determine your experience.

    This is the most important decision. If your Dropbox account holds 1TB of data but your laptop only has a 256GB SSD, you cannot sync everything. During setup, choose Selective Sync. This allows you to browse your online Dropbox and select only the folders you want physically on your computer. The rest will remain in the cloud, visible in your File Explorer as "online-only" files, taking up zero hard drive space.
