A Dehancer Key (or Activation Key) is a unique alphanumeric code used to unlock the full features of the Dehancer plugin and remove the "watermark" from your footage or photos. Seat Allocation: Most Lifetime licenses include two independent "seats," allowing you to activate the plugin on two different workstations or devices.

Host Specificity: Keys are typically tied to a specific "host" application. For example, a key purchased for DaVinci Resolve will not work for Adobe Premiere Pro or Final Cut Pro unless you have a "Studio" subscription that covers all hosts.

Deactivation and Transfer: You can deactivate a key within the plugin interface to move it to a different computer. If you sell your license, you can "Transfer" it through the Dehancer License Management portal, which revokes your old key and issues a new one to the buyer. How to Use Your Key

Access Activation: Open your host application (e.g., DaVinci Resolve or Premiere Pro), apply the Dehancer effect to a clip, scroll to the bottom of the effect settings, and click License Info.

Enter Credentials: In the pop-up window, select Enter License Key, paste your email and the activation key, then click Activate Plugin.

If you have already purchased a license, your Dehancer key (license code) can be found in the following locations:

  • User Account (Web Store):

    • It is important to understand what type of key you have, as Dehancer offers different models:

  • Subscription License: You pay monthly or yearly. The key must be validated periodically (usually every 30 days) by going online.
  • Trial Key: If you are on a trial, you generally do not enter a key immediately. The trial usually activates automatically upon installation for 14 days.

    • Dehancer offers a significant discount to students and teachers. If you have a valid .edu email address or a student ID, you can get a fully functional Dehancer key for roughly 50% off the retail price.
