Cross Realms V02 By Duskduck New
Fans of Bohren & der Club of Gore (slower, moody), Tycho (lush, warm electronics), or Cryo Chamber label artists (dark ambient) might enjoy this. It’s less aggressive than industrial ambient, more melodic than pure drone.
| Problem | Solution |
|--------|----------|
| C key does nothing | Rebind key in Controls. Check mods folder for conflicts. |
| Transfer stuck at “Preparing” | Both sides must have the mod + same Fabric version. |
| Items disappear but don’t arrive | Check target’s inbox (C → Inbox). Check logs for “REALM_RETRY”. |
| “Version mismatch” | Download Cross Realms v02 for your exact MC version (use same on both sides). |
| Offline player delivery fails | Target player must have joined target realm at least once before. |
No config file is required for basic use — defaults work fine.
Duskduck’s Cross Realms v02 is currently available on Itch.io as a "pay what you want" download. It runs at 30GB due to the uncompressed audio textures, but it is worth every byte. cross realms v02 by duskduck new
In a digital world obsessed with battle passes and seasonal content, Cross Realms v02 stands alone. It is a silent, beautiful, terrifying monument to the act of moving forward without knowing why.

Before diving into the "new" aspects, let's establish the baseline. Cross Realms is a middleware tool/script suite developed by the enigmatic modder known as DuskDuck. Initially released as an experimental proof-of-concept, the software allowed users to create unstable "rifts" between different server instances or even different game clients.
The concept is simple yet revolutionary: instead of being locked into a single server shard or realm, players can travel between them as if stepping through a portal. Cross Realms v02 takes this concept and refines it from a fragile experiment into a semi-stable, feature-rich bridge system.
| Command | Description |
|---------|-------------|
| /crossrealms allow <player> | Allow a player to send items out |
| /crossrealms blacklist <item> | Block specific items from leaving |
| /crossrealms setkey <key> | Set shared secret (prevents fake transfers) |
| /crossrealms limit <amount> | Max stack size per transfer (default 64) | No config file is required for basic use
By default, OPs only can send/receive. Non-OPs need
crossrealms.usepermission.
The particle effects have been completely rebuilt. The "Realm Tears" (open fissures in space) now use a vertex shader that displaces the geometry of nearby objects. This creates a visceral sense of danger and instability that was impossible in v01.
