In 1998, the unpredictable Serbian director Emir Kusturica released a film that defied all conventions. Matko Destanov is a small-time smuggler with big dreams and even bigger debts. When a deal with the local gangster Dadan goes sour, Matko’s teenage son Zare must step up.
