If you are a university student in construction management, quantity surveying, or civil engineering, Exactal provides a fully functional 12-month student license for free.

Do not use GetIntoPC. Apply for the legitimate student license. It is safer, legal, and looks great on your resume (you can list CostX proficiency).

Most "free" versions on GetIntoPC are legacy builds—CostX 6.0 or 7.0. Exactal releases regular updates to support new PDF formats, CAD versions (DWG 2024, 2025), and Windows OS updates. A cracked 6.0 version will crash on Windows 11. You cannot open modern Revit or CAD files.

To bypass the licensing server, you must run a patcher or a key generator. This requires you to disable your Windows Defender and antivirus. This is the most dangerous step.
