Since the M7 has limited internal storage, you can't download the map of an entire country.
This saves the map data directly to your phone. Now, the GPS chip in the M7 can pinpoint your location on that map without needing a cell tower signal.
The efficacy of digital maps on the AGM M7 is dictated by its specific hardware profile:
Problem: "My GPS has a lock, but the map won't move." Solution: You have "Mock Locations" enabled in Developer Options. Turn it off. Or, you have a battery saver turned on. Go to Settings > Battery > Battery Optimization > Select your map app > "Don't optimize."
Problem: "The app won't install from APK." Solution: The AGM M7 runs 32-bit Android Go on a 64-bit processor. You need the armeabi-v7a APK version, not arm64. Download the version labeled "nodpi" or "universal."
Problem: "Magic Earth keeps crashing." Solution: Clear the app cache. Settings > Apps > Magic Earth > Storage > Clear Cache. Do not clear data (or you lose your maps).
Problem: "The map is upside down / compass is spinning." Solution: The AGM M7 lacks a magnetometer (digital compass). You cannot fix this hardware limitation. You must drive 10 meters forward; the map will reorient based on movement, not direction. Stop spinning in place.
Because the AGM M7 is unique, you can optimize it further than a normal phone.
The AGM M7 is frequently used in fleet management and security. The integration of mapping software with the device's 4G modem allows for:
