Adobe still owns the copyright. While they don't actively sue individuals for using Audition 3 (they care about CC subscriptions), using a cracked portable version in a commercial studio is a liability. If you are a professional making money, buy a licensed copy of Audition CC or switch to an affordable alternative like Reaper (which has a portable install option natively).
Many radio producers learned on Audition 3. The keyboard shortcuts and workflow are muscle memory.
